Mount - McClurg A beautiful summer wedding was solemnized on Saturday, July 10, 1982 at Port Perry United Church when Dawn Irene McClurg, youngest daughter of Mrs. Dorothy McClurg and the late Mr. Joseph McClurg, Port Perry, Ontario became the bride of David William Mount, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Mount of West Hill. Rev. Jackson of Port Perry officiated the ceremony. Given in marriage by her oldest brother Dale McClurg, the bride wore a lovely floor length gown of organza sheer featuring Chantilly lace, pearls on the neckline with a ruffle on the bodice and an empire waist and full bishop sleeves with banded cuffs of some Chantilly lace. Three wide layers of Chantilly lace swept the bottem of the gown. Her spanish headpiece cap with matching Chantilly lace and seed pearls caught to a cathedral length veil of silk illusion. She carried a cascade of mauve orchids with white roses. The maid Malcolm, Nestleton, friend of the bride, Barbara Mount, West Hill, sister of the groom wore a floor length mint green dresses with a cape. They carried Colonial white and mauve daisies, accented by streamers of white satin. The groom chose a three piece grey suit with long tie and white pin striped shirt accented by a white rose. The best man, Vldis Buks, West Hill wore a three piece dark gray suit. The ushers Brian McClurg, Port Perry, brother of the bride. Jim Mount, West Hill, brother of the groom, wore brown suits. The reception was held at Prince Albert Hall, where the bride's mother received guests in a floor length an orchid corsage. The greom's mother assisted in a floor length burgundy gown with an orchid corsage. The master of ceremonies was Mr. Glenn Brooks of North Gower, Ottawa. Mrs. Dorothy lanson reported for "Tweed- smuir History' reading an article on the Causeway Letween Scugog and Port Ferry. Marjore Beaton gave a reading on Friendship and V:lma Foster gave a reading fcllowed by a contest. Iva Pioenix thanked Mrs. Fuster for inviting us.
