Pearce Auctioneers played their first league game against Pickering Village. Pickering was first to score, but the Auctioneers tied the game on a goal by Jason Cochrane with Stephen Laird assisting. The second period saw the Auctioneers with a 3-1 lead. Scoring for Port were Jeff Parry assisted by Jody Logan and Brad Moase, unassisted, o long shot from the blue lifie. Pickering put the pressure on but goal tender Shawn Larocque covered his net well. Midway into the third period, Pickering scored their second goal. The Auctioneers came back with two more goals by Jason McBride and Stephen Laird with both assists going to Jason Cochrane. The Auctioneers came away with a well deserved win, defeating Pickering 5-2. In a very exciting match, the Auctioneers played to a draw, ending the game in a 0-0 tie. The first period saw a lot of end to end play. Midway into the period Port's Sean McEnaney got a shot away on Bowmanville, but the goalie was quick to smother the play. Close checking by the Auctioneers allowed only - two shots on Port's net and Shawn Larocque came up with two fine saves.
