The team has finished a successful season, showing a marked improvement over the 1981 season. They finish- ed third in the City and District League and played well in 5 tournaments. Roland Osske and Tim Thompson combined for 2 no-hitters, one in league play and one at the Junior Elimination Tournament in Oshawa. Mark Jeffrey had an excellent year pitching, especially in the Canadian Tire Tournament, where he lost the championship game 1-0 to Greenbank, and Ken Irvine. Mark and Ken each had three votes for most valuable pitcher going into the championship game. Dave Dickson was leading hitter with a 464 average and Dennis Franssen stole the most bases and hit 400. Dave should be a contender for top average in the league. We would like to thank our sponsor, Canadian Tire and Ray Wilson, for the financial and fan Support he has given to the team. We would also like to thank the people of Port Perry Minor Ball for their support in holding the OASA Junior C Tournament and the Lelp in running the Canadian Tire Mens Tournament. A special thanks to Hillis and Carol Wilbur for their help and support through the season. A big, beautiful sailing vessel glides from one breathtaking Carib- bean jewel to another.
