Zone final between Greenbank Gamblers and Brooklin Legion got underway last Thursday night in Brooklin and the Legion team bested the Gamblers by a 3-0 score. The main stumbling block in the path of the Greenbank team was their inability to solve the offerings of pitcher John Annis. During the nine _ inning contest, Greenbank collected only two hits and or to move a runner past (third base. For six innings, Annis and Ken Irvine were locked in a scoreless tie but in the 7th and 8th innings, Brooklin SWEET, managed to bunch their hits to-gether and scored two runs in the seventh inning and another run in the eighth to claim the win. Centre fielder, Dennis Romeril collected both the Gambler hits. Sorichetti and McKrimmon led the Brook- ° lin attack with two hits each. The second game of this series goes Monday night at Greenbank and if a third game is necessary, it will be back at Brooklin on Thurs- day night at 8:00 p.m. Meanwhile, the four semi finalists have been decided in the Uxbridge Community fastball league.
