With a year of junior * experience and few chances in personell, the team is aiming for a very successful year. Port Perry will host the D.A.S.A. Junior "C" Championship Tournament in August. The pitching staff will include . Tim Thompson, Mark Jeffrey and Bill Owen with catching duties shared by Todd Wilbur, Mike Healey and Carl Durward. The fielding positions will be filled by John Butler, Dave Canning, Grant Curnow, Mark Cleveland, Greg Fedyk, Dave Dickson, Dennis -- Franssen, Scott Heard, Bob Ireland, Paul VanCamp, and Curt Pjn- kowski. Slo-pitch event for Nestleton On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 4th, 5th and 6th at the Nestleton Community Centre; 16 slo-pitch teams will meet to battle it out for more than $1,200.00 in prize money, in the "KARWOOD ENTERPRISES SUPER BONUS TOURNEY". The top Slo-Pitch teams from Uxbridge, Peter- borough, Oshawa, Bowman- ville, and Stouffville will be competing, making for some high calibre ball playing. The Tournament starts on the Friday night and the finals in the Consolation and Championship will run 5:15 P.M. and 6:30 P.M., Sunday night. There will be no admission charge to spec- tators. On the Saturday night, there will be a dance in the Hall featuring "Herb Vine and Durham ~County". Admission will be $7.00 a couple with. a buffet included. So, allin all, it shapes up to be a thrilling weekend with many local boys playing for the Host team, the Karwood Krazies; and several other teams within the area.
