Congratulations are in order for Janie Midgley and Michelle Cyr for winning the highest mark of 85 in Grade VI class piano duet. Janie also placed third with a mark of 84 on each of her piano solos. To the Grade 1 and 2 choir placing 1st. In the vocal section, Scott Spencer won top honours, Kelly Boyle and Paige Whyte placing 3rd. Michael McCabe and Eldon Seare were successful in winning 3rd in their vocal duet. Sarah Phoenix placed 3rd and Jo-Ann Desautels 4th. Christa Hazelwood in their piano solos. Congratulations kids, we are sure proud of you. Mark and Debbie Roundell of Toronto spent the weekend with her parents Murray and Shirley Lee. The 4-H girls would appre- ciate your cutting out the guarantee portion off the Robin Hood bag of all pur- pose flour, these are to be sent in this week, please leave them with Helen McKean. Julie Lawrence who has been a patient in Uxbridge Cottage Hospital for a long time, is being transferred to a hospital in Weston, where she will be given further treatment. We will miss you Julie, but wish you all the best. Mr. Trevour Watson of Markham visited with Mr. and Mrs. Armour McMillan one day recently. Mrs. Verna Baird is a patient in Uxbridge Hospital, but happy to know whe will be able to return to her home soon. The new hymn books in memory of loved ones and PORT PERRY STAR -- Wed. They say farmers like to take a winter holiday. Well, Bob and Linda Hunter along with Jennifer and Adam are just doing that and enjoying their's in sunny Jamaica. It was a happy occasion for Mr. and Mrs. Hilliard Wilson who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sat- urday.
