Former wrestling star Whipper Watson, who was instrumental in organizing the Snowarama, has set a province-wide goal this year of $1 million as 1982 is the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Easter Seal Society (formerly the © ECONOMY COMPACT STANDARD & FULL SIZE Ontario Society for Crippled Children). Last year, more than $900,000 was raised through the Snowaramas with this money used for the care and treatment of the 6700 physically disabled children in Ontario. Net proceeds from the Port Perry Snowarama last year amounted to about $20,000 with half turned over to the Ontario Society and the remainder used by service clubs in the Durham area which are members of the Society. There is a current case-load in this area of 416 physically dis- abled children.
