Darlene visited her sister, Pat Little in Toronto and their father was able to be there also. We are glad Frank was able to leave the Nursing Home and visit his children over the holidays. Julie Nelson of Baltimore was visiting Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilsons for the week- end. . Mrs. Hansen had the houseful as usual with nine of her children able to come home. Karen, Judy and Carol stayed for a few days. On Christmas Day the Basters entertained her mum and Dad (Clard and Jim Jones and her brother and a friend). Over the holiday season they also entertained all the Baster family. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Bailey were pleased to have their family home for Christmas. so ETE Mr. and Mrs. Archie Watson had supper Christmas Day with Mr. and Mrs. Ennis of Pefferlaw. Don and Stella Jerry, Joan and girls had Christmas dinner with Don and Elaine. Cordingly and girls. On Sat. the five J's (Jerry, Joan, Jan, Jill and Jennifer) Asling, Keith, Faye Ashton and family and Heather Bell had dinner Don and Stella Asling. On Sun. the five J's had dinner with Joan's cousin Gail and Alex Williamson in Port Perry. They also visited Aunt Mildred and Uncle Don Clark in Uxbridge. If I've missed anyone this, week I'll try to do better in the New Year. Thanks to all who so kindly phoned in their news 985-2620. i | Bryans - Black | A very pretty summer wedding took place July 11, 1981 at Ebenezer Church, Courtice. The bride, Debbie Lynn oldest daughter of Bev and Shirley Black, Swiss Heights, Oshawa was united in marriage tv Gordon Robert, oldest son of Bob and Nancy Bryans, Blackstock by Rev. David Burns officiating. Soloist Lorinda Jackson, Caesarea sang "The Wedding Song" accom- panied by Sadie Courtice. Given in marriage by her father the bride was lovely in a formal gown with french lace bodice and long sleeves. She carried a bouquet of burgundy roses and stephan- otis. The maid of honour was Kelly Beatty, friend, and the bridesmaids were Patti Bryans, sister of the groom, Lisa Black, sister of the bride, Melanie Williams, Cheryl Card, friends. Linda Bryant was flower girl and Ron Polkinghorn was ring bearer both cousins of the bride. The bridal attendants wore dusty rose formal gowns with matching lacey vests and carried bouquets of burgundy and dusty roses. Best man was Cordell (Pete) Keuning and ushers were Steve Bryans, brother of the groom, Terry Black, Bradley Black brothers of the bride and Phil Archer. The groom wore a chocolate brown tuxedo and his attendants were in beige identical tuxedos. } At the reception held in Oshawa Legion Hall the mother of the bride received the guests in a formal deep mauve gown assisted by the groom's mother wearing a formal turquoise green dress with jacket. Leaving for the honey- moon to points east, the bride travelled in a floral dress with black jacket and straw hat. Deb and Gord Bryans are now residing in Oshawa. Several out of town guests attended from Fenelon Falls, Port Hope, St. Mary's, St. Catherines and Aberdeen Scotland. Got Time Time on your hands?
