Approximately 50 men and women enjoyed a delicious Christmas Dinner last Wed- nesday evening at the Port Perry Legion Hall when the local Rotary Club with the co-operation of the Legion, and Ladies Auxiliary wined and dined the group. Most guests attending the meal were picked up at their homes by Rotary members and brought to the Legion where Santa Claus greeted them and pinned on a corsage. Prior to dinner entertain- ment was provided by a three piece Combo and after dinner the GM Choir enter- tained with Christmas Carols and Sing-A-Long. According to a Rotary spokesman, the goal of the evening when they began planning the event was to get as many elderly people out as possible who may not get a Christmas dinner other- wise. Because of the success of last week's dinner, it is felt that the event may become an annual happening and organizers feel that there is no doubt that it will grow in popularity.
