The Green Machine started the year off on the right foot, by defeating Swamp Garage 8-0. Scoring for the Green Machine were Neil Mark with 4 goals, Derek Lewis with 2 goals, Ethan Lavereau and Ryan Larcca each had 1 goal. Vince Criscione, Ethan Lavereau each had an assist. Graham Sullivan recorded the shut- out for the Green Machine. Scugog Lumber 5 U.AW.1 In the second game of the day Scugog Lumber also started the year off right by defeating U.A.W. 5-1. Scoring for Glen Vallie was Shawn Nanay with 2 goals and 1 assist. Allen Shepstone and Mike Stanley also Scored. Assists went to Bobby Brain, Joe Morgan, John Naughingham. Lions - 2 Wes Lane -2 The first game of the day was a hard fought game with both teams coming out with two goals a piece. Lions Club goals scored by Deric Slack (2) assist went to Larry Collins (1) Drew Ballingall (1) and Calvin Brewster (1) Wes Lane goals went to Shawn Grant (1) and Todd Mantle (1) assists went +o Lee Beacock (1) and Trevor Solomon. BANTAM HOUSE LEAGUE Goreski-51GA3 The first bantam game was played at a fast tempo. Scoring for Goreski was Kevin Jackson (2) Jeff Wray, Ron Brown and Lyndon Bartley tallied with (1) assists went to Jeff Wray (2) and Ron Brown (1). Scoring for IGA was Mike Fluke (2) and Paul Walton (1) assists went to Chris Bartely (2) and Mike Fluke (1). On Saturday, October 31, 1981 the I.G.A. Ringette Belles hosted the Oshawa "A" team. It was a very exciting game with some great passes made. The final outcome was 5-3 for Port Perry. Rhonda White had 4 goals while Janice Jackman had 1. Michelle Newell had a hat trick in assists while Bonnie Bridge had 2 assists, Dianne Hamers, Tish Lefort and Wendy Burton all had 1 assist. Our next game is at Scugog Arena on Saturday, November 7 1981 at 6:25 p.m. Team wins by Marg Pelow On Sunday, November 1, 1981, a team made up of 6 Petites and 7 Tweens travel: led to Lindsay to play an exhibition game against * their Petite - Tween team. Our girls were victorious as they beat Lindsay by a score of 6-4. Kim Loudfoot scored 2 goals for the Petites. An assist went to Jennifer Pelow. Scoring for the Tweens were Heidi Meisner with 2 goals and Heather Muir with 2 goals. An assist went to Lori-Ann Newell. Sharing the goal-tending duties were Jessica Fluke and Dawn Park. : Both girls made some good saves. The six new girls on the two teams played very well and will improve a lot as the year progresses. J Minor Hockey House League Cochrane Trotters 4 Emmerson 3 The second game was a. real shoot out with Cochrane coming out on top. Scoring for Cochrane was Dan Tomchison (3) and Jim Abraham (1). Assists went to Dean Fisher (2) and Jim Abraham (1). Scoring for Emmerson was Clay Dempsy (1) and Paul Cooper (1). Assists went to Chris Sauliner (1) and Chris Parli- ment (1). NOVICE HOUSE LEAGUE Scugog Realty - 2 "Reliable Plumbing - 1 In the first match of the season in the Novice House League, Scugog Realty narrowly defeated Reliable Plumbing by a 2-1 margin. All the scoring came in the first period. The Realtors scored first at 1:58 on an unassisted effort by Kevin Brown. At the 8:09 mark, Kevin potted his second goal of the game. This one proved to be the eventual winner. The Plumbers only marker came from the stick: of Scott Foster, assisted by David Talbot. Sportsland -4Kinsmen-0 In the second Novice H.L. game, Sportsland blanked Kinsmen 4-0 in another exciting hockey - match. Sportsland scored twice in the first period with Steven Desautels starting things off unassisted at 4:46. Steven then assisted on the second marker, when Jody Logan took the pass and beat Kins- men netminder Denny Hughes, at the 11:30 point. Kinsmen tightened up their defense in the second period and held Sportsland off the scoreboard. However, Steven Desautels got his second goal of the game at 4:04 of the third period after taking the pass from Carl Payne. The final scoring play of the game came at 9:40 when Mickey Olaisen beat the busy Kinsmen netminder on an unassisted effort. Jason McBride registered the shut- out for Sportsland. 0 = SUTTON I.
