Now this won't surprise you but the Dukes of' Harmony were the hit of the show and this Saturday evening they will be enter- taining us on the Barber- shoppers programme in Uxbridge. Then for our area an interesting part of the show was when the Lucky Draw was made and Jack and Do Biggleston became the lucky winners of a beautiful Microwave oven. Couldn't happen to a nicer couple. We expect a good number from the Epsom Social Club will be attending the Barber- shoppers this Saturday evening and will enjoy a social hour with the Postma's after - Ladies provide. There was a family gather- ing at the Tapscott home when Norm and Betty enter- tained in honour of his 90 year old aunt Mrs. Frank Archer who was accompan- ied by her daughter and son-in-law all of Saskatoon. This trip was a gift for her birthday from her family. Jean and Gordon Jeffery attended annual L.O.B.A. supper at Goodwood Thurs- day evening. Mrs. Ruby Tripp was a Sunday supper guest with Allen and Norine Card. We wish a speedy recovery to her husband Elwood who is Surprise On Sunday, September 27th, Roy and Mildred Hope of Blackstock went to their eldest son's home in New- castle for their 40th Wedding Anniversary. -They - were surprised to - find the rest of the family there also, a lovely meal and a beautifully decorated cake were enjoyed by everyone. Beacham a former mission- ary to Korea he will be accompanied by a Korean friend. Jack Carnaghan of Black- stock and Mr. John Kirton of Saskatoon called Wednesday on Mr. and Mrs. Earl Taylor. Mr. Doug Wilson spent 3 days at Geneva Park at an Executive conference for the Milk Marketing Board. On Sunday evening the Baster family were supper guest of Potter family. On Wednesday, Joel Van Veghel visited Grandma Asling, after school Frank, Jason and Jinny came and all stayed for supper. Miss Jan Asling of Whitby was a weekend guest of her grandparents. Many friends called on Mrs. Alma Asling at Fair- view Lodge to wish her a happy 92nd birthday. She enjoyed every card, every birthday wish and every visit and we wish her many happy returns of the day. Ken and Beth Catherwood and boys visited Lois and Barry Bushell on Sunday afternoon, then were supper guests with Howard Ashtons, grandson Richard was also a supper guest. Recently, Barry and Lois Bushell, Keith and Faye Ashton visited Bev and Bob Thompson for an evening to celebrate the Ashtons 20th and the Thompsons 10th wedding anniversary. Gordon and Jill Postma attended the wedding of his niece in Bowmanville on Saturday evening.
