Rev. Arthur M. i Rodgers was the speaker and delivered a message entitled "The Adventure of ' Death". Mrs. Betty Stone i was organist for the occasion and Miss Dianne Baylis sang two beautiful solos: 'Pass It On" and "He's Everything + To Me". Greetings and a warm welcome was given to all by the chairman - Mr. Morley Raines. He also expressed the committee's ~ thanks to all who planned - and prepared for the service. , Many former residents were in attendance. «Church service next i Sunday at 11:30 at Green- : bank church. The Greenbank Old Timers Ball Team played in a tournament at Cambray on Sunday. Winning one game and losing one game. Mr. and Mrs. Morley Parish, family and friends enjoyed a pork barbecue at the home of Bruce and Jane Ferguson at Woodville on Saturday evening. Bill and Eunice Smith of Colborne and Janice McGee and Phil Perkins of Toronto visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Mel McGee: Mr. and Mrs. Angus Meisner, Dawn, Ray and Heidi have returned home from a trip to the east coast. Sorry to report that former Greenbank residents Mr. and Mrs. Everett Hook and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wilson, were involved in a serious accident some time ago near Guelph. At last report Everett was still in the inten- sive care unit at Guelph hospital. Mrs. Hook is stay- ing with Mr., and Mrs. R. Kerry. Ashburn news by Mrs. E. Heron Mr. and Mrs. John Cincurah attended the wedding on July 11th of their niece Gayle Climpton and David Kennedy at the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. James Climpton, R.R. 1, Sharon. John's son Tom was married July 25th to Yolanda Forson at St. Church, Oshawa. Many of the out-of-town . guests spent the afternoon between the wedding and reception at the home of the Cincurahs, R.R. 1 Ashburn. The reception was held at the Polish Veterans Hall, Stevenson Road, Oshawa. Mr. and Mrs. Brian Daw and little daughter Amy have arrived back in Ontario to make their home after living for some time in Port Coquitlam, B.C. Miss Peggy Graham of Thunder Bay spent last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. Heron. Mrs. Marguerit Vincent attended a family picnic at Renfrew on Friday last week. There is Sunday School at 10 a.m. and Church service at 11:15 at Burns Church next Sunday.
