The House nd Farm Log Contest is «pen to all students in urades 7, 8,9. It is sponsored by the District Women's Institute and is to be judged at Blackstock and Orono Fairs. Students are encouraged to enter this history of their home or farm. Family and Consumer Affairs Convenor, Mrs. D. Frew presented an excellent program. The Motto - "The best way to forget your own problems is to help someone else solve theirs." A splendid talk on Disabled Citizens and the transit service they require was most inform- ative. Two humorous readings -"Eat Life's Bowl of Cherries' read by Mrs. N. Rohrer and "Marital Tips' for Prince Charles read by Mrs. D. Frew followed. The meeting closed with "0 Canada' and the Institute Grace. A delicious lunch of fruit bread, cheese and cookies was served by Mrs. R. France and her group. Mrs. G. Fish expressed appreciation to Mrs. D. Frew, Convenor, Mrs. R. France, group leader and all who took part to make it an enjoyable afternoon.
