Mr. and Mrs. John Tobin have just returned from a week's visit with their son Dennis at his cottage at Cameron Lake near Fenelon Falls. On Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Tobin traveled with Mr. and Mrs. Murdock Belair to the wedding of Clifford Moon and Susan Tremayne in Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Don Beacock have just returned from a tour of Montreal, Quebec City and the Laurentians in the company of Mr. and Mrs. Mel Tindall. Lee, Blair and Craig Beacock enjoyed stay- ing with their uncle Keith Rodd in Uxbridge and with their grandparents Beacock in Prince Albert® Grandpa Beacock had a memorable experience in that he wit- nessed grandson Lee hit a homerun with the bases loaded at a tournament on Sunday. Mr. Reg. Abraham is currently visiting his son Barry who resides in Vernon, B.C. Gloria Wallace has just returned from a visit to her parents in New Bruns- wick. Miss Carol Sturman is in Strawberry Threads IScoming to PORT PERRY! the Port Perry Hospital after an unfortunate fall from a horse which occurred at the resort where Carol was working for the summer. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Carol. Our sympathy is extended Dorothy Massel on the recent death of her father. Condolences are also given to the family of Mr. Nick Newland who recently passed away. The Seagrave Store Squirts won the baseball championship at the tourna- ment held at Port Perry on Sunday. The Seagrave Old Timers weren't nearly as fortunate. They were beaten: out of the tournament at Cambray by the Little Britain Trojans. Once more the ladies will enter into the fray, as Sea- grave Turkey Power will play at Greenbank at 7 p.m, this Wednesday. On Friday po." Saturday of this week Seagrave Turkey Power and the Seagrave Old Timers will join forces to form an invincible entry into the Manilla Mixed Tourna- ment. Freeze-out winners were Iva Yake and Alma Kennedy, Nerta Masters and Stan Beach were 2nd. There will be another euchre this Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bailey and Mrs. Dora Geer attend- ed the Fralick-Bailey picnic at Uxbridge recently. Mrs. Pearl Hodgson of Oshawa also attended along with them. Mrs. Edna Diamond has béen visiting with her brother Fred and Mrs. Clark in Toronto for a few days. Master Grant Schofield of Taunton spent the weekend with his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. George Harper. Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Schofield and family were Sunday supper guests with the Harpers. Mrs. Mildred Thompson attended the McGillivray- Langenburg wedding at Mount Albert on Saturday and on Sunday she visited her mother Mrs. Miller at Mount Albert. Mr. and Mrs. Hillis Wilbur, Lee and Todd were at Caledonia. Todd taking part in the Junior Ball Tourna- ment. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Carre were in Toronto on Wednes- day evening, celebrating their 14th wedding anni versary at the Royal Alexandra Theatre and enjoying the performance "They're Playing our Song." Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hinch- cliffe visited the Carre's on Wednesday. Mrs. Helen Crawford of Uxbridge visited with the Sutcliffe family this past week. 83 Juniors participate in judging competition An interesting judging day was held on Tuesday, July 28th, 1981, for 4-H and Junior Farmer members in Ontario . County. The eighty-three participants evaluated classes of dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep, goats, swine and haylage. The competi- tors also completed quizzes on plant and seed identifica- tion and safety. Margaret, Earl and Eliza- beth Taylor joined the family gathering at the home of Miss Ruth Taylor of Can- nington on Sunday. Donna and Frank Van Veghel and the children enjoyed a wonderful day at Canada's Wonderland on Friday. Friday evening the Baster family helped Gail and Don Prentice and family christen their new pool.
