Church and Sunday School will be held at 11.15 a.m. each Sunday. Nestleton Ladies' Aid Nestleton Ladies' Aid meeting was Thursday afternoon in the Presbyterian Church. The President Mrs. S. McNeely welcomed all. A favourite Easter hymn was followed by a reading "What is Easter'? by the President. Sentence Prayers were given by each member and the Lord's Prayer was repeated in unison. Mrs. H. Visser in charge of the: Devotional Period read from Luke 22: verses 39 - 46. Easter is Christ's agony, the cross of shame and suffer- ing. At Gethsemane He poured out His agony before God - the price He paid for our salvation. The minutes were read by the Secretary-Treasurer held on Scugog Public Library and Community Care. Arrange- ments were made to partici- pate in the Hospital Auxiliary Fair on May 2nd and the proposed Flea Market. The Roll Call was well answered by all members, and cards were signed for folks in hospital. The pro: gram was in keeping with the Easter theme. Mrs. W. Hooey read "A Road is Built so we Build Lives'. Mrs. F. Dayes read from the Comm- unity Care leaflet "Héads Bent Low'. Mrs. H. Visser read "Pass It On" then favoured with a beautiful Easter solo "Man of Sorrows'. A hymn and Mizpah Benediction closed the meeting. The hostesses Mrs. F. Dayes and Mrs. H. Visser served a dainty lunch and Mrs. G. Thompson extended a vote of thanks to the host- the home of Carol Doyle, Nestleton, with 10 members and 4 visitors present. President Irene Train opened the meeting with Vice-President Lyn Bowman assisting. Secretary Carol Doyle read the minutes of the last meeting and the Commmunications. New membership Donna Bronson was accepted and warmly welcomed. It was decided to cater to a wedding on May 30th at the Community Centre. Meals on Wheels was dis- cussed and the end of the month schedule was set up. A donation of $100.00 was given to Cancer Research. Each member present donates $1.00 to this worthy cause- Cancer Research. District Deputy Joan Gibson was present at the meeting and presented a short talk on the upcoming Convention held April 11th, Chapter and a warm fratern- al welcome was extended. We trust the Order will be an inspiration to them and the work enjoyable.
