There was a big surprise in store on Saturday evening when Helen and Clifford Redman with Helen's sister Ruth and husband Clarence Hewson of Whitby were -tricked into showing up at ° the Port Perry Town Hall. When they arrived they found about 80 relatives and friends had gathered to honour the two couples for a double 25th Wedding Anniversary. We extend congratulations to these two well known and respected couples. The Island Church people are very appreciative of donations still being received toward renovations and improvements. This week four more were received from Scugog Island and Alberta. The "Grace" U.C.W. is serving a beef supper on Wednesday March 25th at the Community Hall in aid of the renovations at the Church.
