In the old Dominion Hard- ware building the Cold Cut Centre has opened in a new enlarged store, having out- grown their premises next door after a year and a half Education public meeting Candidates for the Durham Board of Education who plan to run in the November 10 municipal election can have their say at a public forum on October 28 sponsored by the home and school association. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in Room 118 of the Durham Board of Education, Administration Office, 555 Rossland Road West, Oshawa. A question period will follow. at that location. Mr. and Mrs. Kurz have spared no expense in setting up this very appealing store. The brightly lit interior is a pleasure to enter and they now offer seating for light lunches, which are prepared in their kitchen. The Cold Cut Centre specializes in cold cuts, fresh meats, cheeses and many types of European foods. At the south east end of Queen Street, tucked into a corner of the St. Charles Hotel (of years gone by) is Ingredients Unlimited. This store offers the shopper a wide range of products which they can purchase in bulk form. The store is operated by Mrs. Grace Hunter and Mrs. Marion Murray and since its opening has become such a success that expansion is already in the planning stages. Walking through the front door of the store, the shopper is faced with some 200 diffe- rent bulk products from which to choose. And as their ads say, "just scoop what you need."
