Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Larm- "er R.R.1 Blackstock arrived home Monday July 28 after a three week bus tour of West- ern Canada. The Senior Citizens' Euchre Party was held on Tuesday, July 22 with the following results from their 23 tables: 1. Leland Milson- 89; 2. Flossie Aldred-83; 3. Vera Fawns-82; 4. Elva Van Camp-81; 5. Clara Marlow- 81; 6. Marg Hall-79; Ruby Tripp-low. The 50-50 draw was won by Susie Harris and the draw of $5.00 was won by Leland Milson. Mrs. Andrea Weir, Janet, Jim and Russell attended the wedding of Larry Madill of Haliburton and Diana Ross of Sault Ste. Marie on Satur- day, July 26th. Jean and Bruce Mountjoy recently attended the Mann- ing Picnic at Riverside Park in Guelph and visited with her brother, Archie. They also called on Paul Mountjoy in Kitchener and McShanes in Brampton. When in Ritchener they were taken on a personalized tour of the Conestoga Cold Storage Plant, the largest and completely computer- operated storage and retrie- val plant in Canada, by the engineer in charge of design and construction, their son, Paul Mountjoy. Mr. and Mrs. George Carnochan and girls of R.R.2 Port Perry had Mr. and Mrs. George Bryant and Chris- topher as - Sunday evening dinner guests. Roy and Edith McLaugh- lin, Murray and Aileen Byers, Walter and Audrey Wright, Harold and Edith McLaughlin, Ivan and Mar- garet Mountjoy, Richard and Ruby VanCamp, John and Marion Carnochan, George and Norma Wolfe, and Harry and Bertha McLaughlin all enjoyed a crop Improvement Trip through Renfrew and Dundas Counties recently. Highlights of the trip were: Madona House; a ceramic the . shop; tours of several Otta- wa farms; a tour of Ottawa and the Parliament Build- ings; Kempville Experimen- tal Farms was also featured; and a look at the Million Dollar a Mile Project o South Nation River near Chesterville. A large scale Maple Syrup Operation was visited where they tap 7,000 trees. A wonderful trip was had by all. Miss Eleanor Kelly and Miss Julie Bryant are braving the forces of the wild .. for the next ten days while "they are away at the Wilder- ness Camp at Camp Quin- Mo-Lac. The camp will feature a five day canoe trip of approximately two hund- red miles to Algonquin Park along with many other excit- ing activities. Look out Daniel Boone! . Mr. and Mrs. Joe Locke and family and Mr. Dwayne Bryant enjoyed a few days of camping at Presqu'il near Brighton. . Mrs. Fred Polly of Port Hope was a visitor of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kelly: and family on Wednesday, July 23rd. Three Girl Guides from this area will be attending Guide Camp at Doe Lake in Haliburton. Karen Kyte and Tara Bailey are leaving Sunday August 3rd for one week and Tracy Staniland will be leaving on August 10th until August 23rd. Have a good time!
