PORT PERRY by Sandi Johnston At the half way mark in the program we can recall events and look forward to the coming fun in the remaining three weeks. One of the recent memories is our tour of Mother Jacksons. On Thursday July 24, we were PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, July 30, 1980 -- 27 guided through the meat pie plant. It was very interest- ing to watch the production of the tasty pies. We know they are indeed tasty as we were each treated to a pie and a can of pop. Thank you very much, Mr. Jackson. Friday was a full day for all. In the morning the 8-12 year olds from all the Play grounds went roller-skating. -Everyone enjoyed them- selves. The turnout was large enough that we will yground now continue roller-skating for the remaining three Tuesdays. In the afternoon everyone was hard at work cleaning cars. Actually, the work was masked in fun. A thank you is extended to our supporters. Next week, we will be swimming only Wednesday. As well we will be discussing our favourite foods.
