Members of Scugog Township Council took on the Port Perry Kinsmen in a rousing, bucking game of -Donkey Baseball. The game proceeded at a mule's pace, that is, when- ever the donkeys felt like playing. At the end of the regulation number of innings the score was tied. Each team had managed to push, shove, tail pull, and carott bribe three runs home. A lot of the players didn't want to participate; in fact, they were being downright stubborn about it. But then again so were the mules. The game was decided by a special donkey race but the Kinsmen Jim Lawrence didnt last long at first base when his donkey big winner was the Port called "Dynamite" decided to take off.
