To meet that date, crews are now working a 12-hour day, five days a week. However, on June 15 through September 15, the work week will be cut back. Because Highway 12 is heavily travelled in the summer time by city people getting to the cottage or the campground, construction work will not start before 9:30 on Monday mornings. And all work must cease by 3:30 on Friday afternoons so that weekend traffic will not be slowed down. The cost of the five mile reconstruction from Man- chester to Greenbank is $2 million.
