Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dorrell of Morrisburg were weekend guest of Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Dorrell and attended the wedding anni- versary of his brother. Mrs. Hazel Belyea of Bronte and Mrs. Lorne Wannon of St. Catherines also attended the Open House. They were Saturday evening guests of their sister Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hoskin and on Sunday night guests of another sister, Mr. and 'Legion elects Ed Groves president Ed Groves has been elect- ed president of the Purt Perry Legion Branch 419. He beat out two other nominees Jack Cook Sr. and Ed Mulholland in elections by the general membership held at the Legion Sunday afternoon. Mr. Cook was seeking his second straight term as president. As immediate past president, he will remain a member of the executive. Mr. Groves has been a 4 member of Branch 419 for the past seven years, and served as president in 1978. Prior to coming to the Port Perry area, he was a mem- ber of Branch 1 in Toronto. John Maw will serve as 1st vice president; Ross Weir as 2nd vice-president and Chester Pedzikowski as third vice-president. The Sgt.-at-Arms will be Radio fhaek +.
