Sunday morning the Junior Sunday School Class was pleased to 'present the church congregation with the Birthday Banner, they had prepared during classes. Their teachers are very pleased with the children's fine efforts and are happy to have such keen interest shown in helping to decorate your place of worship. A word or two of praise to these youngsters is surely appre- ciated by all of them. Next Sunday is Palm Sunday and the Sunday School will have a joint service in the church base- ment hoping to impress upon the children the true mean- ing of Easter. Our super- intendent, Mr. Greg Smith, and teachers work very hard to keep the children's interest in the church. If you, as a parent could held in aiding the teachers it would be greatly appreciated any- time. We have a very active Sunday School as you read about its happenings in this paper. Sleigh rides and skating parties were extra activities along with a trip to the show to see In Search of the Historic Jesus Christ. Plans are being made for the Sunday School Anniversary and a summer church Cedar Creek by George Kilpatrick Gerald Stinson of Kedron visited George Irwin on Tuesday afternoon while Mrs. Nora Stinson was having a Tupperware demonstration at Mrs. Wm. Armstrong's home on Quaker Road. George Kilpatrick visited Bruce Resson at Raglan on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Rick Larocque and sons spent last week in the South. They went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The culvert on the third concession, Quaker Road, washed out on Friday. The water had been crossing the road on Thursday afternoon but the heavy rains raised the creek too fast for the culvert. " Seagrave and area news service and picnic to be held at our ball park. The Birthday Box was visi- ted by Master Brian Sturman, Mrs. Suzzanne Malcolm and Mrs. Jane Durward. Congratulations and Happy Birthday folks. The service of communion will be celebrated in all three churches next Sunday, March 30, Palm Sunday. A good number of people enjoyed the St. Patrick's Day supper prepared by the U.C.W. Monday night last week. A bottle drive by the Scout- ing groups is planned for Saturday, April 12 in the morning. A pre-season baseball dance hosted by Oakwood Oldtimers is planned for Saturday night, March 29 in Oakwood Community Centre. All teams in this league are invited to attend and Seagrave can get their tickets by calling Bert Hutcheon at 985-2397 and Keith Puckrin at 985-2489. Happy Birthday to '"'sweet sixteen" Carol Sturman who celebrated her special day on St. Patricks Day. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Puckrin entertained family and friends honouring Marilyn's dad, Mr. Alymer Harris on his 70th birthday Sunday. We are happy to see Mr. _, Bill Keen home from hospi- tal and sorry to report that Mrs. Lillian Smith and Mr. Robert Leslie are presently confined tp Port Perry's hospital.
