GM sets records General Motors dealers in Canada set a January sales record for passenger cars, delivering 30,689 units for the month, Richard M. Colcomb, Vice President and General Sales Manager, announced February 5. Passenger car deliveries of 30,689 in January were 7.3 percent higher than last year's 28,596, and surpassed the prior January record of 30,277 set back in 1977. Total vehicle deliveries in January of 41,540 were above the 39,814 sold in 1979, and within 421 units of the January vehicle sales record set in 1977.
