Included were the Gordon " Hendersons, the Murray Hendersons, the Ralph Malcolms and Mrs. Emma Malcolm and the Robinson family. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Beggs and family returned home to Port Elgin after spending Christmas holidays with their families and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Art Rowan and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pfoh spent Christma with Keith and Elizabeth Baker and family in Etobicoke. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Glasbergen Jr. & family spent Christmas - for dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Gerald McGill; for supper with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Glasbergen Sr. in Orono. Mr. Murray Malcolm and family were dinner guests this week at the Howard Malcolms. On Christmas day the Howard and Terry Malcolms had as guests Mrs. Hazel Whittaker of Lindsay and Mr. and Mrs. Allan Gundri of Barrie. Here at Malconia our own family including Bob and Mitzi Fick of Toronto and Mr. and Mrs. Marti Malcolm congregated here for Christ- mas. Miss Darlene Malcolm and friend have returned home to Edmonton following a couple of weeks spent with the Murray Malcolm family. Mr. and Mrs. Oram Moore and family entertained Maureen's mother, Mrs. English of Lindsay and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Avery and family of Lindsay for Christ- mas. Oram and Maureen were guests this week with Mr. and Mrs. John Proutt of Whitby in their new home. Congratulations to Janice and John Hunter who have just moved into their spank- ing new home in North Toronto - Scarborough this past week. The parade to warmer climes has commenced with a local couple having left by bus for several weeks in Florida. Open House Mr. and Mrs. Allan Howe held an open house last week for friends and neigbours in a pre-Christmas festive gesture which was' much appreciated by all those attending. Likewise a few of the local residents were Sunday guests at another Open House of similar enjoy- ment which was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Masters of Pleasant Point. A pretty wedding took place on the balmy Saturday afternoon December 29 at Yelverton United Church. Dr. E.E. Joblin of Lindsay assisted by Mr. Arthur Rogers of Janetville officia- ted at the wedding of Pamela Jane Stinson, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Stin- son, and Robert William Carmichael, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Carmichael of Toronto. The reception was held in the Manvers Community Centre with the Yelverton U.C.W. catering to a deli- cious roast pork dinner. Mr. Dale Stinson, brother of the Bride, was M.C. for the various toast proposed. Pamela's matron of honour was her sister-in-law Carol Stinson, the pretty flower girl - her niece Jo-Ann Stin- son, and bridesmaid. Susan Fallis. Bob's best man was his brother Chuck Car- michael. The evening was pleasantly spent in dancing to music supplied by D.J. Bert Grant of Pontypool. Special music was provid- ed at Yelverton United Church on Sunday morning by the Robinson family in the form of a male quartet. Father Ray and his three sons, Clare, Quentin and Darryl. It was fairly easy to identify le pere - he was the one devoid of foliage, beard, that is in particular. We understand they are auditioning for a position in a local synagogue. Mother Ernestine accompanied her hirsute family in their vocal rendition which was well received. Mr. Art Rodgers provided the best sermon of this year also his first. Actually he provided enough food for thought for several sermons and at a pace that left us breathless at its conclusion. Pleased to have Mrs. Rodgers mother, her brother and sister in law of Belleville share the service with our Yelverton congregation. Master Todd and Miss Tara Malcolm are currently enjoying a weeks holidays in sunny Florida with their Grandpappy and Grand- mammy Howard and Eileen Malcolm. Bet they are having a ball.
