The recep- tion and wedding dance was held in the Recreation Centre. For the next two weeks the regular routine of Church and Sunday School will be changed due to anniversary be no Church Service at the United Church here as it is Nestleton's anniversary with Rev. Gardner Ward as speaker. Sunday School will be at its usual 11 a.m. time. The following Sunday Nov. 4 will be Blackstock Anniver- sary with a 11 a.m. Church service with the dynamic Rev. Clarke McDonald as guest speaker. There will be no Sunday School that day. please make note of it. Also next Sunday, Oct. 28 there will be a Canada Cord Cere- mony in the United Church at 7 p.m. when four Guides will receive the highest hon- our in Guiding. The girls are Tracy Cochrane, Sharn Holl- iday, Elizabeth Kelly, and Robynn Ward. The public is welcome to attend this cere- mony. The O0.N.O. held its regular meeting at the home of Nor- ma VanCamp. Barb Byers opened the meeting after which the minutes were read by Sharn Wilson. Wilma VanCamp gave the treasur- er's report. It was announc- ed that the O.N.O. has bought a new piano for the Rec. Centre. There will be a Hallowe'en Dance on Oct. 27 with prizes for the best cost- umes. However it is not necessary to be in costume. The Pathfinders (the new group in Guiding) were given some money to get organized. The Ideals magazine was renewed for the Nursing Home. If anyone has any teatow- els from the Recreation Centre please return them as soon as possible. The next meeting will be held at the home of Barb Byers. Please note change of schedule. Doreen Van- Camp showed her beautiful slides of her trip to India this summer. The meeting closed with Norma serving a delicious lunch of many desserts. FATHER AND SON BANQUET The annual Father and son was attended by a fine num- ber of fathers and sons. Everyone enjoyed a delicous pot luck supper. Rev. Paul Saulnier, Akela for Greenbank Pack, showed some interesting slides taken on the trip to Manitoba and of the Jamboree itself.
