Rev. J.S. Gilchrist of Bowmanville officiated at the ceremony. The bride, given in marriage, by her father, wore a gown of organza over taffeta with mandarin neck- line, fitted sleeves and butterfly front panel. The gown was trimmed with chantilly lace forming a cathedral train. A headpiece of matching lace accented with pearls and sequins held a fingertip veil, with appli- que of same lace. The maid of honour for the ceremony was Miss Charity Conway, friend of the bride and bridesmaids in attend- ance were Anita Bell, Kathy Waller and Jane Patt- erson. Barbara Waller, niece of the bride was the flower girl. The girls wore formal floor length gowns of powder blue, mint, sunshine yellow and peach. Each of the attendants carried a bou- quet of daisies in co-ordinat- ing colours with their dress- es. Also 'included as ushers for the ceremony were Jim Har- vard, uncle of the groom, Brad Giroux, cousin of the groom, and Dave Booth, friend of the groom. The groom's attendants each wore a tuxedo of beige and chocolate brown colouring with white carnation boutin- ierres. Mother of the bride wore a beautiful rose formal gown with matching chiffon cape. The mother's corsage was a dainty white orchid. The groom's mother wore a formal gown of soft peacock blue shade with the access- ory of a single strand of white pearls. Her corsage was also a white orchid. Guests from out of town attending the service and reception were from Kirk- land Lake, Cobourg, Hamil- ton, Oshawa, Kapaskasing, Windsor and surrounding areas. The reception following the service was held at the Flying Dutchman Motor Inn, Bowmanville. The couple received many beautiful gifts at five miscel- laneous showers held in their honour by Carol Waller, Charity Conway, Trans Can- ada Radio Club and the Staff of Bell Canada-Engineering Dept. Also there was a lovely shower held by Mrs. Marjorie Giroux, mother of the groom. The couple homeymooned in Chatham, Ontario and are now residing in Oshawa, Ontario.
