The group in charge, Velma Foster, and Ruby Beare chose as the theme of the Devotional, "Friendship". Everyone welcomed Mrs. Harris, who then showed her, slides on Newfoundland. These were beautiful and interesting and Mrs. Harris commented in her charming way. Ruby presented her with a small gift of apprecia- tion. We were also pleased to have Mrs. Harris' daughter Jo-anne and her lovely baby boy at the meeting. President, Elma Roundell, chaired the meeting for the Business portion. Eunice Rahm, Secretary read the Minutes, and Marie Foster, Treasurer, gave the Trea- surer's Report. 20 members and 7 visitors answered the Roll Call - "A Place You Have Visited In Canada." We were reminded that we will be asked to bake pies and make cole slaw for the PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, July 18, 1979 -- 25 Holstein Barbecue on Thurs- day, July 19th. Also our own Church Barbecue on Friday, August 3rd for which we will also bake pies and send bazaar articles and home baking for a Bazaar Table. Muriel Gibson and Helen McKean volunteered to look after this Bazaar. A motion was carried that we cater to the Plowman"s Banquet early in November. To close the meeting, Elma read a poem on Friendship. After the Mizpah Benediction and singing Grace, everyone took part in a contest, and then enjoyed a delicious lunch served by the Group in charge. 1 J L LJ . Coca-Cola Ltd. J developed a better package with a lower center of gravity that not only was less likely to tip but also was less likely to break. Formal "Tip Tests" have demonstrated the validity of that decision. Is the 1.5 litre bottle for Coke completely shatter-proof? Of course not. Any glass package can break if handled improperly. Our bottle is quite different from the ones the Government has recommended be discontinued. Our bottle is as safe as advanced Canadian glass technol ogy can create.
