x by Barbara Carnegie Scugog Community Care is expanding its service to include an Information Centre. The Community Care Advisory Board felt that this would be a helpful service to the residents of Scugog. The aim of the Community Information Centre is to help people find solutions to social, legal, health, govern- mental and environmental problems by either providing information or by referring inquiries to the appropriate service available in the community. This service is provided to everyone. Some inquiries come from those to whom people turn for help, but most are from the public. For example, people who need help with government, people looking for day care in their neighbourhood, people looking for commun- ity services. We can either #3. tell you what you need to Layzell-Watson Marion Layzell and Randy Watson were united in mar- riage on August 19, 1978 at Tohity -United Church in @xbridge. } The bride gowned in white Sata-glo featuring a high neckline, with beaded net yoke, cascading down from an empire waistline into a flowing train. A matching headpiece held her four tiered mantilla. She carried a cascade of yellow roses and white daisies, and was escorted down the aisle by a Father Robert Layzell of bridge. The matron of honour, Miss Catherine Tobin of Greenbank, also brides- maids, Miss Janet Watson, sister of the bridegroom of Port Perry and Miss Karen Couch of Sunderland, all were attired in Yellow poly- ester with V neckline, pleat- ed caplet sleeves and skirts, carrying baskets of multi- coloured daisies. Mr. James McLaughlin of Port Perry acted as best man. Mr. Robert D. Layzell of Whitby, brother of the bride and Mr. Dennis Watson of Port Perry, brother of the bridegroom were ushers. The groom and all atten- dants were in sandalwood formal wear. The bride's Mother selec- ted a beige floral gown with corsage of yellow roses. The groom's mother Mrs. Grant Watson of Port Perry chose a green gown with corsage of white roses. Mrs. Charlotte Tripp, Bancroft, grand- mother of the bridegroom was charming in beige with a yellow rose corsage. The soloist was Mr. George Timms of Black- water. A delightful wedding dinner was enjoyed in the church basement. Mr. Larry Watson of Toronto, brother know or quickly refer you to the right service.
