The Devotional was conducted by the group - Marie Cookman, Norrine Cook and Barbara Phair. The theme was "Thanks- giving and Salvation", and proved to be most interesting and thought-provoking. Barbara Ward accompanied the singing on the accordian. All present mentioned some- thing to be thankful for. Doris Hill, President, chaired the meeting for the Business. Eunice Rahm read the Minutes and Marie Foster gave the Treasurer's Report. A letter was read from '"'Street Haven' and a motion was passed that we send them a donation next month as usual. Elma Roundell reported on the "Leprosy" letter, and stated that the money we send to Missions helps in this cause. If we wish to have a speaker on Leprosy, we might get one in January. . A motion was passed that we cater to the Local Teach- er"s Banquet on Tuesday, October 17th. Helen McKean reminded us of the Arts and Craft Show and Sale in the Hall on Saturday, October 14th from 10 o'clock until 4 o'clock. Tables to be prepared Fri- day night. All remember to bring home baking to sell and any other crafts they have made. Demonstrators are to get lunch free. Tea tables will have coffee and donuts until noon, and sand- wiches and cookies in the afternoon. The Nominating Commit- tee, Doris Hill, Helen Mc- Kean and Barbara Phair, is to have the report for the November meeting.
