While there have been isolated showers in Durham Region, Scugog Island dairy farmer Cliff Redman told the Star that the last heavy rainfall to hit his farm was about May 20, almost eight weeks ago. i Mr. Redman has about 50 acres of corn planted, and some dry patches on high land are starting to show the affects ofthe dry weather. On Monday of this week, he pointed out leaves that are starting to wilt, and said this means the plants are simply not getting enough moisture.
