On Saturday Miss Kathy Card 'gnd Mr. Jack Monsma be- came. the happy bride and groom. The best wishes of i the community are extended. to Kathy and Jack. The Bethseda-Reach Women's Institute sponsored a community picnic on Sun- day afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Boad- way. It was well attended «about eighty of us enjoyed a picnic dinner under the Pines. It gave us much pleasure to meet some of our new neighbours and renew the old friendships. We were so pleased that Mr. and Mrs. R. Rodd also Mr. and Mrs. N ' ~ Smith were able to attend. Van Camp-Calich The marriage of Norma Dell* Calich of Mississauga, Ontario. and William "Glenn Van Camp of Port Perry took place Saturday, May 13th, 1978 in Port Perry United 'Church. : Rev. Brawn was the offi- ciating clergyman. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Calich of Mississauga, Ontario. ~The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Van Camp of Port Perry. . Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a white floor length gown with- pearl trim and picture hat. Roxanne O'Connor of Tor- onto was matron of honour. Bridesmaids were: Marg Johnston of Kingston and Kathy Routledge of King- ston. ' Jamie McNab of Port Perry acted as best man. Ushers were brothers of ~ the groom Robert Van Camp and Paul Van Camp. Thunderbird Golf and Country Club was the setting for the wedding reception. Their honeymoon was "spent in Nassau. Norma and Bill are resid- ing in Port Perry. Mrs. Jean Jeffrey and Mrs. Irene Capstick visited Mrs. Maude Feasby and Mrs. Gladys Slack in Port Perry Memorial Hospital one day last week. We wish these friends a speedy re- covery. Mr. and Mrs. M. Cracknell were in Toronto for a few days last week. . Dr. Ross Prentice, Mrs. 'Prentice and girls of Seattle Washington were weekend were a little more comfort- guests "with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Prentice. Mr. Paul Baster was home from Holland for the week- end. Julie is home from the hospital. . Barry Bushell phoned home to say he had arrived safely in Saudi Arabia. Dr. and Mrs. Asling and daughter of Hanover were with his parents Mr. and " Mrs. D. Asling for the week- end. All attended the Terry' Picnic at Poplar Park on Sunday afternoon. "Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jef- frey visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Brown and also toured the Heritage Museum on Sunday. Son; Mr. John Taylor and lady friend, also Brother Mr. Stanley Taylor of Toronto were Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Taylor. The Potter family were in' Toronto fer.'the weekend. They went to the Debbie and - Pat Boone concert on Satur- day evening and toured the C.N. Tower on Sunday. The Van ¥eghel children are very sad." Mrs. Kerry's parents Mr. and Mrs. Stearman of Port Perry had lunch at Kerry's on Sunday. Twilight meeting The annual Milk Producers' Twilight Meeting, sponsored by the Ontario County Milk Committee and 'the Ontario County Holstein Club, will be held this { year, on Thursday, July 20th, at the farm of Neil A significant change this year is that the program will start with a roast beef barbecue at 6:30 in the evening.
