The mothers and several Epsom ladies also enjoyed the after- noon antics. As Jeffrey's T-shirt proclaimed "Let's Face it! I'm cute. Recent visitors at Begins were Mrs. Beryl Martin of Bowmanville, Mrs. Littler Shawn and Harry Jr. of Richmond Hill, Mr. Frank Brown, Ajax, Mr. Ken Green, Toronto, Mrs. Aileen Gleneski of Mississauga. Sunday June 25, Mr. and Mrs. John Arbuckle Bradley and Leanne, Mr. and Mrs. John Arbuckle and Jenny of Nestleton joined their family at the Goslin home for a picnic. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Goslin attended the amateur radio field day at Kendall area for the week-end of June 24th. Last Wednesday evening a host of friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilson when Marie and Marlene were hostesses at a * shower for Miss Kathy Card. This month's bride to be. Cathy received many useful and pretty gifts assisted by Esther Houghland, Kim Brown and Sandra Kerry. Our best wishes to Kathy and Jack. Mrs. Mihaklovic of Hamil- ton called on Mr. and Mrs. H. Ashton. We knew her as Marilyn Brown when she stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hill at Epsom Manse. The Catherwood family of Oshawa, Lois and Linda Bushell of Uxbridge were luncheon guests with Mr. and Mrs. H. Ashton. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Wag- ner of Sandford were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs: H. Ashton. Our deepest sympathy to Mrs. Dave Prentice, her daughter Ruth, Miss Vera Prentice and the many friends and relatives in the area in the passing of a long-time friend and neigh- bour, Mr. David Prentice. Mr. and Mrs. H. Ashton visited Mr. and Mrs. Allen Ashton and family of Oak- wood, also called on Miss Vera Prentice one day re- cently. The Couples Club held their monthly get-together at the Tapscott cottage on Cameron Lake on Sunday afternoon. Co-hosts were Steve and Alice Lee, Norman and Betty Tapscott. Glenn Kerry is with Mr. Bill Keach in Toronto for a week's holiday. Donna Kerry spent the week-end with Ann Tapscott. If you are in the humour for a good laugh be sure to attend Epsom-Utica Straw- berry festival on Friday eve- ning July 14th. © We are assured there will be straw- berries and cake. Thee will be an interesting humourous programme. Our Annual Beef Barbecue will be August 26. Mark your calendar now. Jennifer Asling of Hanover was a guest last week with her grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Taylor travelled to the East Coast by train then toured the Maritimes by car. We are so pleased they had such a lovely holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Leona Lefe- bvre and Roger were dinner guests with Mr. and: Mrs. Don Mofatt. We are pleased to learn that Mr. and Mrs. _ Mofatt are enjoying their new home. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Wilson and Michael attended the Lee Picnic in Orillia on Saturday. Mr. Doug Arons, Anne Marie Mailhot, and Elaine Kelley visited Mr. and Mrs. Murray Potter for a week- end recently. Kathy Potter telephoned Holland and is pleased to report that Julie is recover- ing nicely and expects to be out of the hospital soon. Danny Mofatt of Ajax was a week-end guest with Roger Lifebvre. Janice Evans and Janet Simmons have returned from a week-end at camp in Omemee. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Acton of Stouffville were Sunday evening visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Evans. Miss Marlene Wilson was in London for the week-end visiting her friend Miss Dianne Font. ' © Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilson visited Mr. and Mrs. Glen Allin in Newcastle on Sun- day. Recent guests with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Goslin were her parents Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Ostler of Kerney, while here Mr. and Mrs. Ostler visited several of their grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Knapp of Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hartwig, Chris and Michael of Kincardine, Miss Kathy Goslin of Ottawa arrived at-the Goslin-home Friday and attended the Beacock family reunion at Blackstock. Mr. Abram Beacock was Mr. M.S.& Knapp's great grandfather. The many friends of Kathy Goslin will be pleased to hear that she has accepted a position in Ottawa with the Department of External Affairs." Dr. Ross Prentice, Mrs. Prentice and family of Seatt- le, Washington have bed # visiting his parents also her parents who are living in Toronto now. Mrs. Prentice finds her grandchildren, Marsha and Julie, have changed a great deal in the three years since she had seen them. The Bethesda-Reach W.# held their June meeting off' the lawn at McMichaels Art Gallery - after touring the galleries and enjoying after- noon tea and lunch in the dining room, The Bethseda-Reach W.I. Annual Community Picnic will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Boadway, July 16th at 12:30. Join us for a good time.
