A catering com- mittee was put in to look after a wedding on July 29th. We all enjoyed learning more about the sheltered workshop which will be built at Port Perry to accomodate about twenty five retarded adults. We learned that retarded is now called slow learners. The Group of Seven association deserves our appreciation and helo in their great work. Eliza- wheth Fulford was our guest speaker. On Saturday a large crowd attended the sale at the home of Mrs. L. Mitchell. Mrs. Mitchell has moved to Port Perry. We willall miss her cheerful face. The U.C.W. served lunch. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Wat- son were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Watson of Ajax and helped Cathy celebrate her birthday on Friday. Thanks to the Tapscott family for the beautiful floral tribute placed in the church on Sunday in mem- ory of Norman's father the late Charles Tapscott of Markham. e were so pleased to see r friend Clara (Mrs. Jim ones) on Saturday. She has just returned from visiting her daughter Shirley and her son-in-law Paul Baster and her grandchildren in Hol- land. The visit was wonder- ful but too short. Shirley, Paul and the girls send their best wishes to all of theie friends in the area. The Dr. D.E. Robertson chapter of the 1.0.D.E. held their annual Pot Luck dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Potter on Sunday. About forty members and their husbands enjoyed the hospitality of Murray and Cathy Potter: Our congratulations to Betty Sommerville on her graduation from Durham College with the degree of R.N. There was a beautiful memorial Service at Utica United Church on Sunday on the occasion of the Annual Decoration Day. There was a capacity congregation. Rev. Epsom-Utica U.C.W. were well represented at the Pine Grove Auxiliary meeting last Wednesday. The Church was filled for the beautiful "meeting. How we all enjoyed singing the old songs, then listening to the beautiful voice of Mrs. Parrott in two solos. Mrs. Gladys Lehman from Toronto, who had been visiting her daughter in Israel told us so very many wonderful incidents in her trip. Her word pictures were so explicit that we felt that literally we walked the streets, visited the market, and worshipped at the Tomb with her. Thanks ladies for the privi- lege of enjoying this hour with you. Then Sunday evening a crowded church again at Pine Grove heard a wonder- ful evening of music with the Melodante Choir from To- ronto. On June 28 Bethesda- Reach W.I. members will visit McMichaels Art Gal- lery at Kleinburg. Each member may ask a friend.
