When I look at Anthrograms beauti- fully presented renderings they don't add to the individ- uality of Port Perry and what really bothers me is the standardisation of the sign- 'age - that is shopping centre thinking 'and a negation of what a sign should do in terms of attention getting and individuality. Port Perry's main street is where individuals still exist in business, it is the centre piece of the town and its uniqueness should be- come moreso, it should not be standardised like hund- reds of other small towns. I am not suggesting that it should become some wild creation - just tastefully uni- que. One other thing strikes me a little strange and it should be noted when view- ing the renderings by Anth- rogram - the automobile is discreetly missing. Picture those same drawings in-the reality of the streets, full of cars - the imagry really looses its edge. It is 'my - opinion if Port is to - over the long run - do a real job on Queen Street, the auto- mobile should definitely be ® Registered trademark of Drug Trading Company Ltd.
