They were beaten 7-1 by Hamilton in the first game, a game which I felt they played their best Ringette. Hamil- ton is very strong through experience and strategy but our girls played their best effort and finally close to the end of the game our lone marker was scored by Karen Young. Port then advanced to the Consolation Final against Barrie and had command of the game early with a goal by Karen Young, then Sherri Allen scored three goals, Karen added her second to end the game by a score of 5-3. Quite an achievement for so young an organization. Our Tweens (11-12 year olds) did not fare out so well. They lost 18-0 to Hamilton and 15-0 to Oro. Both teams they met were long on experience and ability, and no matter how hard our Tweens worked, they just couldn't dent their nets. The general feeling See i eh pp - at - [ . | / [-- ELECTRONICS 75 Brock Street W.
