MY MOST UNUSUAL CHRISTMAS The first few years we were married, we lived on the middle floor of a three-storey apartment. Our son was almost two that Christmas. It was one of the best times in a child's life, when he begins to discover what Christmas is all about. Everyone had been telling him for days about an enigma called Santa Claus, who wore a bright red suit and had a long white beard and hair. This fellow always said Ho, Ho, Ho. He always came : Christmas Eve when boys and girls were fast asleep, : and mysteriously left presents and good things under Our son Sean was fascinated by '"Ho Ho". His impatience grew as the days came closer. He could hardly wait. My husband and I were getting tired of hearing "When is Ho Ho coming?"'. Finally it was The Sean had been put to bed numerous times during the evening. Finally at one in the morning, he brought out his pillow and decided to sleep by the tree. He wasn't going to miss anything. No amount of coaxing could get him to go back to bed. About an hour later, there was a loud noise on the balcony. Sean squealed with delight and ran yelling "Ho Ho is coming, Ho Ho is coming!"' Unfortunately, it was only the boyfriend of the girl upstairs. They had had an argument and'she wouldn't let him in the door. He thought he would climb up the balcony, and get in that way. Sean was certain he was Santa Claus. So what if he didn't have the proper attire. He was Santa! Sean went to bed shortly after that, and woke up the next day, full of the wonderment of Christmas. Santa For months afterward, everytime he saw the man that was on the balcony, he would look at me and say "Ho Ho?' 1 would shake my head and say no. It took a long time for the realization to hit home. That time will always be a fond memory to me. It was an unusual if not joyous Christmas! ting ready for your long journey to the small towns and big citys and out to the wide open county. It must be cold out in the North Pole?
