The full set of Northrite woods and irons and Spald- ing bag valued at $300 was reported stolen by Robert Farmer of Oshawa. He apparently left them in the parking lot while he was in the club house. Also stolen was' an antique pitching wedge with hickory shaft. Car Theft A car stolen over the week- end in Oshawa was found wrecked and abandoned Sun- day morning on the Scugog- Whitby town line west of Highway 12. -Police report -that-the car suffered extensive damage when driven off the road and into a tree. The OPP and Durham Regional police are investigating the incident. Vandals Vandals caused damage estimated at $1000. to a house owned by Joel Aldred on the 12th Concession, Scugog Island, The house, apparently not lived in, had 22 window panes smashed and four screens: ripped off. Other contents of the house were reported disturbed; 'with nothing of value stolen. The incident allegedly took place some time prior to August 17.
