The problem, which was discussed several weeks ago by council appears to be caused by construction of new homes aon the east side of the road which has left a steep embankment without protective vegetation. Councillor Jerry Taylor said he is getting complaints from residents who say that water flows down the embank- ment through the ditch, across the road and onto properties and driveways, leaving soil and gravel deposits. Roads superintendent Ron MacDonald told council that .a the Township keeps the ditch clear on a regular basis. He vadded that the problem should be corrected once the , construction is completed and the hill is sodded. The ditch '.will also be deepened with proper culverts, and the roadway built up. 'Drainage pipes to the lakes will also be enlarged Cofidbithe CofistFuttion is over: "Councillor Taylor wasn't convinced that these measures would solve the problems, and he told council that at least 'one resident is seeking legal advice to determine who is responsible for the damage to his property.
