After service there was a congregational meeting to make decisions on musical matters. It was with regret, we learned Janice Gibson will not be able to carry on as pianist after next Sun. as she has too many other commit- ments. Therefore the chosen committee will contact other prospects. The big decision came over .a new church organ. Two and a half years ago a committee had been appoint- ed to look into it and a fund was started. It was slow progress and at times seem- ed hopeless. But the fund has grown to $1900. The committee now. presented their findings with types, prices and conditions. On faith the representatives of the congregation have there- "fore ordered a medium sized church - organ that has . chimes, harp sounds and the ability toraise or lower keys. Of course the faith comes in the raising of the balance of the money to pay for it. It was intimated that sevéral people would like to make donations but have been holding off to see what was going to be done. One visiting lady offered a size- able amount to start things going. It may be that others would now offer some or even give a donation in memory of a loved one. We plan to record names of _ donors, perhaps in a Memor- iam Book. If you wish to make a free donation or a memorial donation, please send to Mrs. Don Gerrow, treasurer. In case of the latter, state name of loved one and date of decease. The miniature tractor pull was a great favourite with onlookers last year and competition was keen. Don't miss it on Monday, September 5, at 10 a.m. in the infield. The Horse Draw is a new attraction this year at the fair. Entries are expected to come from northern and scarcely wait for September when all the holidayers will return.
