In a little over two weeks the noise level in our Seagrave households should be lower- ed somewhat when our "children return to school on September 6. On behalf of the Seagrave community, I wish to ex- tend a sincere thank you to Mr. Richard Thorne who led us in worship over the past, few weeks. On Sunday we were treated to a duet per- formed by Richard Thorne and wife Margaret. Many thanks also is extended to organist Mrs. Barbara Short for enriching our services over the summer months, Vacation Bible School is underway at the Seagrave from Monday, August 15 to Friday, August 19 from 10:30 to 12 noon. All children are invited. to participate. Sympathy from the com- munity is extended to Mrs. Walter King at the loss of her sister Mrs. Osborne Kennedy of Lindsay. . Seagrave's worship ser- vice last Sunday was the last one of the month here. If you'd like to worship August 21 you are welcome at the Pinedale Church at 10 am. There will be no worship at any of the three churches on Sunday, August 28 Church and Sunday School will resume at Sea- grave on September 4, which is Rally Sunday. Rev. Roundell will be re- turning to us from his trip out west and will be hand- ing out the Sunday school diplomas and seals on this special Sunday. The Greenbank Church will have its decoration Service on August 21 at 2:30 p.m. at the Greenbank Cemetery. Please be reminded of the Greenbank Church bar- beque on Friday, August 19° at 4:30 p.m. at the Green- bank church, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Carr and Mr. and Mrs. Murdoch Belair enjoyed holidaying 'this past week at Sauble Beach. Carol Sturman enjoyed a visit from her girlfriend Margo Stronach, over the weekend. Robert Wanamaker stay- ed over night visiting Ted Sturman one day last week. Mark Sturman visited with grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Rowan of Bethany for: a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Puck- rin along with grandson Craig Rogerson of Sudbury, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Puckrin and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Puckrin and family attended the Holl- inger family picnic at the - Claremont Conservation Park on Sunday. On the occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cookson were taken out to dinner Friday by their family and later returned to the home of Peter and Shirley Ander- son of Oshawa where they were presented with a lovely set of dishes. Re- freshments and a special anniversary cake were en- joyed by all. Saturday morning they all left to spend the weekend at the cottage with their family. Congratulations Mr. and: Mrs, Cookson on this happy occasion. Kelly Boyle spent a few days last week visiting her cousins Christina and Michelle Ricciuti in Toronto. News flash!
