They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Taylor and Betty Jane at their cottage on Gull Lake for a barbecue on their return trip. * Mr. Merlin Bailey of Lon- don visited relatives in the area recently. Mr. and Mrs, Ross Weir, Janet and Jim and a cousin Shawn Harrington visited Russell Weir at Kilcoo Camp on Sunday. Mrs. Reg Boundey and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Toms were Sunday Dinner guests of Mrs. C. Graham. Earlier sampling of fish for mercury in Lake Scugog and Sturgeon Lake, situated upstream and downstream from Lindsay, revealed mercury levels within the acceptable limit of 0.5 parts per million. These lakes will be sampled again this summer as part of an on- going contamination moni- toring program by the Ministries of Natural Resources and Environ- ment.
