"Echols, daughter of Louise F. Echols of Vineland and George W. Hicks, son of Margarett Hicks, Nestleton Ontario. Music was provided by Mrs. Alan Crawford and Russell Kempa. Rev. Alan Crawford officiated at the ceremony. Escorted by her brother James Echols, the bride chose a white dress with a full circular skirt and high V-shaped waist, sweathedrt neck and yoke, finger tip veil with wide lace and flowered headpiece in white with a touch of pink and green. She carried a bouquet of pink and white roses, stephanotis, baby's breath and fern with streamers of fern and baby's breath. Marion Echols of Logans- Hicks - Echols port, Ind., sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a pink dress and white hat with white carnations and fern. Marion Echols, niece of the bride, was flower girl. She.wore a long pink dress with long waist. Michael Echols, nephew of the bride, was also flower boy. Aaron Echols of Logans- port, Ind. was best man. Ushers were Reuben Echols of Vineland and James Echols of Bethesda, Ont. The bride's mother wore a dress with small blue - flowers on a white back- ground. The groom's mother wore a grayish blue dress. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Reuben Echols residence on Vine Road. The couple will reside in Nestleton, Ontario. Mr. Hicks is employed as a plumber and electrician. Greenbank United Church was the scene of the wedd- ing when Shona Ferguson of Raglan, Ontario, became' the bride of Murray Stone of Greenbank, Ontario, Satur- day, May 28th, 1977. Rev. J. Roundell was the officiating clergyman. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ferguson of Raglan, Ontario. 'The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Stone of Saintfield, Ontario. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full-length gown of matt jersey fashioned with a cumberbund at the waist- line which flowed in a skirt composed of three layers, each layer being scalloped to fall into a full chapel train. Her gown was en- hanced by a finger-tip French illusion veil. The bride carried a cascade of yellow roses accented with heather. Mrs. Marie Giannini, of Saintfield, friend of the bride was 'the matron of honour. Debbie Lee of Greenbank, friend of the bride and Lois Rodd of Lindsay, cousin of the bride were bridesmaids. John Stone of Wick, Ontario, brother of the groom was best man. Ushers were Bob Stone of Saintfield, brother of the groom, and Murray Rodd of Lindsay, cousin of the bride. The reception was held| at the Thunderbird Golf and Country Club, Ashburn, Ontario. ! Following a honeymoon to Canada's East coast, the newlyweds will reside at rural Greenbank. Showers Prior to her marriage to Murray William Stone, Shona Margaret Ferguson was entertained at several showers. .A miscellaneous shower was hosted by Mrs. Florence Stacey and Mrs. Wilda Stacey, cousins of the brides mother, at Florence Stacey's home in Oshawa. A bathroom shower was hosted by Mrs. Jill Bradley. A personal shower was | hosted by Mrs. Colleen ' Smith and Mrs. Colleen Grills, at Mrs. Smith's home at R.R.2 Port Perry. A miscellaneous shower and wine and cheese party were hosted by Mrs. Marie Giannini and Miss Debbie 'Lee at Mrs. Gianninis's home in Saintfield, Ontario. A shower hosted by a few of the brides college friends was held at the home of Wendy Hewett in Oshawa. Tripp - McGill Susan Tripp of Port Perry and Rod McGill of Whitby were united in marriage on May 14, 1977. The officiat- ing minister was Rev. R. Brawn. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Tripp, Port Perry. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mowat, Whitby and the late Carlyle McGill.
