Bobcats defeat Uxbridge 6-1 by Scott Wilbur On Dec. 23 the Murray Williams Bobcats Midget 2's recorded a 6-1 victory over Uxbridge. Mark Cleveland opened the scoring with assists to Taylor and Hope. Ports second shooter, Storry put the pres- sure on Uxbridge as he dek- ed their goaltender and flipped the puck into the net. The second Uxbridge shooter lost control of the puck as he tried to deke Lovering and the puck slid harmlessly in- to the corner. Blayone then duplicated Storry's goal and it was game over. Legion- aires 4, Uxbridge 2. _ Dec. 28th in the champion- ship game, Port defeated a strong Sutton club 4 to 3. The Legionaires came up with just a super team effort to win the big one. Fewer got the only goal in the first period when he scored on a long shot from just over the red line that fooled the Sutton goaltender. A. Jones from Horton made it 2 to 0 for Port as he scored from close range at the midway mark of the second period. Sutton came back just over a minute later to score their first goal.
