Last Sunday the Church sanctuary was aglow with effective Yuletide decorat- ing for the White Gift ser- vice. Prior to worship, the organist, Mrs. G. Hunter, conducted a 5-piece orches- tra which poured out appro- priate music as a prelude. The Sunday School, in a body, were present when each deposited their gifts. The 12-voice mixed choir (attired in black gowns, touched-off with scarlet collars and silver corsage) anthem was brisk. Mary Clugston directed a Junior girls group in singing a sweet number. At this time, Rev. R. Brawn dedicated a sacred plaque, presented by the family in-memory of their loving mother, the Late Mrs. Silas Reynolds. The minis- ter voiced that this remem- branch would be placed with others in the glass-concealed cabinet at the rear of the church. Rev. Brawn's mes- sage proved most timely for the season, "Each Strive to Love the Unloved". Offering gathered by Terry Hodgins and Doug McMillan, Congratulations upon the spectacular Santa Claus parade with involved hours of physical and mental strain. . From here who accepted their invitation were Mrs. Hunter's brother, George Irwin, cousins, the Lloyd and Grant Hunter's, neighbours of years ago, the" Les Beacock's and her - sister, the L. Devitts.
