Wozney, tabled the meeting by first all singing '"Breathee On Me Breath Of Life." Favourable reports were submitted from secretary and treasurer. Bank bal- ance is rather plump but then (there's always those never-ending bills. Mrs. Les Beacock (in charge of our adopted son, Joseph Braden) informed us of purchasing and mailing a sweater, sox, and a box of candy for his birthday on November 19. A sum was also voted on for Joseph's Christmas gift. This year on trail basis, the members present a suit- able remembrance to shut- ins accompanied by a brief visit from a member instead of the annual dinner. Being as the two year term is nearly expired for the present executive, the nominating committee Mesdames B. Smith, C. Vernon, C. Andrews met at home of Mrs. Bryan. Last Thursday evening Terry and Eileen Hodgins purposely dropped-in on their former neighbors, Bruce and Myrtle Snelgrove whom you realize have moved into their lovely home in Port Perry. Lo and behold the door bell commenced to dong as a result twenty-five or so well-wishers arrived in the form of a surprise party. Myrtle Snelgrove at the organ and Eva Hunter at piano' together accompanied the group as they exercised their vocal chords for a round of sing-song and hymn sing. At this time Terry Hodgins acted as M.C. expressed warm sentiments coupled with amusing anecdotes of the Snelgroves who then were presented with a triangular Food Warmer for which Myrtle and Bruce each replied thanking for -the useful re- membrance. also remarked on pleasant memories of their former home and village associations.
