May I also say, that it has become increasingly ob- vious that your newspaper is being used as a source of cheap advertising for one of the local businessmen, who is seeking to climb the polit- ical ladder to success. The publishing of such second rate material does very little to enhance they image of what was once, a good newspaper. in one of the better parts of this fine province. Hoping that you will get your newspaper back on the rails, I remain, Yours very truly, Douglas E. Coates, R. R. 1, Oshawa, Ontario. If the views expressed in Mr. Kelly's writings have at times, been 'controversial, east they have been instructive and stimulating. Writers of his calibre are the very essence of demo- cracy, and if his column has been removed because of its Misses former columnist occasional controversial nature, it is very regrett- able indéed. I can only hope that in its wisdom, the "Star" will reconsider, and place "Kelly's Corner" back in its pages. Yours sincerely, F.
