PEE oh Broomball activities Utica 2 - Brooklin 3 In the first game of the day, Utica was looking to gain some ground on the first place Brooklin, but lost in- stead by the score 3-2. Brooklin led 3-0 on goals by Bill Down, Wayne Church and Murray Down before Utica made a bid to come back on a goal by Frank Fielding from Jack Mitchell and then another goal by Mike Mitchell from Keith Ellicott and Ron Redman. Utica applied pressure for most of the third period, but 'time ran out before they could tie the score. Brians 3 - Coulters 3 The race for fourth place in the standings remains tied as each of these teams hoped to pulled ahead of the other. . Bruce Smith started the scoring for Coulters with assists going to Rob Stevens and Steve Zaparosan. D. Beare then returned for Brians and T. Walten scored THE BIG STIGE-UP Z-BRICK again from H. Peters before Coulters could get going again. Coulters then took over the lead again on two goals. One by Donovan Smith from Rick Collins and Barry McClure and one by Steve Zaparosan from Bruce Smith and Ken Edwards. Ken Fraser tied the game for Brians with only 3 minutes left to play. Cawkers 4 - Smits 1 The pointless'Smit's team remained so as they dropped this game to the second place Cawkers. We were reminded by Reta Wilson that 8c postage is required on Christmas cards this year and they must be sealed. It was decided to have one of the 75th Anni- versary Area tea towels framed and hung in our Hall kitchen. Elsie Pogue repor- ted on the W.I. Convention at the Royal York. She found the meetings very interesting and gave us a clear picture of the procee- dings. The ladies are enjoy- ing their quilting course and are starting on a quilt in the "whirlpool" pattern. Our Resolution Officer Janis Richardson, would like members to keep track of offensive T.V. advertising by marking down the pro- gram, time, station, pro- duct, etc. to be brought to our January meeting.
