Mr. Arculus's wife is a volunteer worker, and every Wednesday she takes a small group of students' with her to Sunny- dale school in Sunderland. Some students go to Oshawa's Glenholme. ere will be a volunteer program at Prince Albert school soon for the grade 11's. They'll assist the senior retarded class. This interest in mentally retarded children coincides with the book the grade 11's are studying "Flowers for Algernon'. The book deals with a retarded boy who acquires a high 1.Q., only to lose it again. Come and see the movie version, 'Charly'. ' The senior and junior girls - basketball have wrapped up another great season, The Jr. girls de- feated other schools to enter the semi-finals. After a hard-fought game, they lost to G.L. Roberts. The Seniors ended their series with a close score. They were playing Central in overtime, 32 - 32, when Central scored the winning goal. They celebrated the close of thejr season with a party at the coach's house, Mrs. Scott's. The Canada Permanent Trust Insurance Company is sponsoring a writing contest for students.
