On Wednesday, November 10, Port shutout Pickering three zip. All goals were scored in the first period. As the finest goaltending all year was handed in by Warren Nicholishen. Scott Sandison got the homeside on the score board first as he managed to poke the puck through the goaltenders legs. Chas. Brown picked up the assist. Clarke B. Menzies who has been one of the finest - all around players this year put the game out of reach for any Pickering come- back, when he took a pass from Jobb, and Kroonen- berg to fire a rifling wrist shot in the far corner of the net. Rookie Dave Alexander who last year played Ban- tam B, showed he had the potential to become one of the best Bantams around as he fired in the final goal at the 12:43 of the first period. Doug Potts and big Geordy Burnett picked up the assists. Coaches Doug Scott and Don B. Phinney were IDLY Two wins for Bantams Drop games quite pleased with the team effort. On Saturday the 13th, Port travelled to the Nuclear City with Pickering swearing revenge. Al- though they did put up a ood effort, and Port receiv- ing twice as many penalties as Pickering, they were still outclassed as Port won 4-2. This was a game of firsts as little Hillis Wilbur -and Darrin Jobb scored their first goals of the year and Dave Alexander with his first penalty. - Todd Wilbur's goal cam from a set-up from Wayne Robinson at the 12:17 mark of the first period. - Clarke B. (continued on pa 9) PeeWee Il tie Markham Stone's- Real Estate tied their game against a strong Markham squad at home on November 8. Port dominated the play from the opening whistle but Markham opened the scoring at the 2:54 mark of the first period. Stones tied the score at the 8:56 mark of the same period on an unassisted goal by Kevin Long. The one to one score stood up until the 9:41 mark of the second period when Markham again o LOOK the lead. At the end of the second period Stone's found themselves down by one goal. From the start of the third period Port showed that they were out to win the game but the Stone shooters were frustrated many times by excellent netminding, but they finally put the tying goal behind the posts with 1:47 to go in the game. Port picked up a tripping penalty with 29 seconds to go in the game but held on to gain the 2 to 2 tie. The record for Stones' after playing three games is one win, one tie, and one loss." On Nov. 11, CTC was successful against Stouff- ville, defeating them 4-2. Following the opening score by Stouffville, Jim Kane scored for CTC at 4:35 of the first period. Both teams scored one each in the second. Tim Thompson hit- - ting the net at 4:29. CTC scored two unanswered goals in the third period, on - markers by Todd Healey at 3:57, and Jim Kane at 8:58. On Sunday the Bantams were blasted by Uxbridge 7-4. Mike Andrews opened the scoring at 3:04 assisted by Kennedy and Durward. Rowen Kennedy put the puck behind the Uxbridge: net minder at 2:23 of the second. Tim Thompson tied the game at 3-3 scoring at 7:17 of the second period. CTC"s final mark came at 12:38 of the third period on the second goal by Tim Thompson. To date CTC has 3 wins, 1 tie and 2 losses. On Wednesday, Nov. 17 the Bantams meet Peter- borough in an exibition game at 7:45 at the Port Perry arena. The Grant Menzies Pacers had another 44 tie with Newcastle and' a dis- astrous 6-1 loss to Picker- ing. Port Perry Midget '"'A" have only scored sixteen times while allowing nine- teen, not an impressive record in either direction. When Newcastle came to town last- Monday, Nov. 8, it looked like Port would have little trouble picking up two points for the win. Mike Hamilton, who was replacing Baird, led off the scoring with a rebound collected from Jay Adam 'and Rob Kemp.
